Did you just make recently changes to your website, updated and didn’t notice any change, when loading the website from different devices? Ok, ok… we know sometimes using low-code editors are a bit confusing, and sometimes issues are hard to identify. But, thanks to Internet, there will always be somebody giving a solution or at least a hint of where to head next.
So, here I am giving you a bit of light in the darkness of your web-editor strange issues.
Suited only for Elementor Pro + WordPress, based websites.
- Your problem is probably called Cache
There are different ways to solve this issue:
- Force clean refresh > CTRL + F5
- Get rid of navigation cache
- Log out of WordPress
- Elementor Pro > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data
- Plugin cache > Any Name > Purge cache
Want to know more about WordPress + Elementor Pro? Start with the basics, or know the nature of a low-code editor.
Let me break it down for you:
1. Force clean refresh > CTRL + F5
Our browsers keep the information from the website when refreshing. This is because of resources and time optimization. So, it keeps websites fast.
When you force a clean refresh with CTRL + F5, you are forcing the web browser to call the information directly from the server and discard the stored one. You will get what you just uploaded to your hosting server.
2. Get rid of navigation cache
Yeah, I hear this a lot. So just get rid of the cached images and files.
3. Log out of WordPress
Can be that you are missing to see changes when logged in, and somehow logging out and then back in can help.
4. Elementor Pro > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data
Elementor Pro also has settings that help to update the new CSS just generated, and this can be done manually from the WordPress dashboard > Elementor Pro > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data. Select Regenerate CSS & Data, and it will also help to replace the old CSS with the new one.
Oh boy, still not working?
5. Plugin cache > Any Name > Purge cache
So, this depends on which plug-in you have for managing your site cache. You will know which one, when you go to the WordPress dashboard left menu. It can be that the action you need to take is clear cache or purge cache. That option can be in the settings that are available on WordPress or other plug-in related to the host service, then you will need to access your hosting dashboard.
And I got you an extra, If your problem persists, I have seen somebody did write more solutions for this issue.
Thanks, Internet!!
